The SME Community is a unique opportunity for SMEs to directly provide insights and perspectives to the ATO on taxation and business issues. The SME Community, that first launched in 2009 as the SME Tax Forum, is an online community that has seen over 500 members log-in and contribute to activities aimed at providing direction for the ATO, as well as providing the opportunity for members to build connections with other business people, and gain insights of their own in the process. In appreciation for their feedback, members also have access to various Government departments, the chance to participate in online chats and webinars featuring subject matter experts to assist them with running their business and an opportunity to earn gift rewards for their contributions.
